Once upon a time...

There sat a tiny blue butterfly on a tree. She was a lonely butterfly, and would go everywhere by herself. But on this particular day, a purple bird came down form the sky and sat on the branch above her. They talked for hours on end. then the purple bird flew away. The next day, he flew back to the same branch, to sit and talk to the blue butterfly. They talked everyday and became very good friends. They would talk about all sorts of things, like love and friendships, and they would comfort each other when times were hard. They danced and sung songs of the sky and rain. They collected twigs for nests and would fly around the trees and flowers all day long. But one day when blue butterfly sat on the tree to wait for her friend to arrive, purple bird did not fly down from the skies to talk. Instead, he flew away. And never came back.
